Soccer, in the black community is a pass time sport and to many a ticket to success. On the 27th of January 2019 The Revelation Church of God (RCG) formed a football club, RCG FC. The motivation behind the formation of the football club was that many young boys are unemployed thus leading them to sit idle and possibly commit crimes due to lack of activity and employment. On the 13th of October 2019 the team played against ZZURI in the finals and won bagging themselves the champion’s league title. Although the road to victory was not easy, the team’s determination and discipline encouraged them to focus on the ultimate price. “The game was so tough but RCG FC managed to win the game and as they won the game they became the 2019 League Champions.” Said club manager Mr Hlatswayo As League Champions, RCG FC will play promotional games that will lead the team to qualify for the Castle Games which is sponsored by Castle Association.
